New Student Convocation

9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.Highly recommended for all new incoming first year undergraduate and transfer students. Only invited students are able to attend this event each fall. No guests are permitted to attend. New Student Convocation is the official opening to the academic year at UCI. New students are introduced to the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors and Deans for the various schools at UCI. Words of wisdom from our Chancellor, ASUCI President and UCI Alumni Association President are shared. Attendees also receive information on when and where they can pick up their sweatshirt during Welcome Week. Students must register to attend via CampusGroups. All attendees will pass through a security process and all bags will be checked. To assist with the amount of time needed to go through this process, please limit the amount of items that are brought to the event.
